Hi there! I’m Melissa – please call me Liss. I’m an Australian illustrator currently based in Houston. 

 

Before discovering the magic of drawing I worked as a lawyer. Although I feel late to the art party, forging a new creative path has been such a joyous revelation. 

 

I love to make fun illustrations which often include traditional media like gouache and colour pencil. I am inspired by travel, things from my childhood, and interacting with kind, brave, and humorous humans. I’ve been lucky to call Adelaide, Perth, France and Singapore home before moving to the US. All of these influences show up in my work. 

 

I work from my home studio under the watchful supervision of my sausage dog, Noodle.
